Resources for COVID-19 Pandemic Nursing

*Original post released on 3/26/2020

Are you a nurse? Are you feeling overwhelmed about managing care for someone with COVID-19? Here’s some great news I was just notified about! The AACN (American Association of Critical Care Nurses) is offering a free online course as a resource to provide “learners with the knowledge and resources to provide essential care to ICU patients with coronavirus.” It’s available online on their website 24/7 and can be a great tool especially if you’re floating from other units to a critical care setting as relief.

How amazing is it for the AACN to have made this “eLearning course available for all nurses, at no charge, to provide vital resources during this challenging time?” I’m definitely on board! If you’re not yet a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse with access to this course, don’t fret. Stay tuned for a follow up post that will highlight key points from this course so you can stay informed as a nursing student or other healthcare professional/student.

Here’s a quick summary of the content the AACN covers in this free online course!
